KAKIORA japanische Kaki-Seife, 3er-Packung

Where to buy persimmon soap in Germany and Austria

Many people who hear about persimmon (kaki) soap want to pick it up at their local chemist. In Germany and Austria that is not so easy. In early October 2026 we checked the online shops of well-known chemists, pharmacies and perfumeries, as well as Amazon. Here is what we found, what to look for, and how to order our KAKIORA persimmon soap directly.

What is persimmon soap?

Persimmon soap comes from Japan and is made with extract of the Japanese persimmon, a fruit rich in tannins. Many people use it to wash away body odour in the shower, including the odour linked to nonenal. Read more in Nonenal explained and our persimmon soap guide.

dm, Rossmann and Müller

On 2 October 2026 we searched the German online shops. dm.de had no exact matches for "kaki seife" and suggested other soaps instead; a search for "persimmon" only returned a fragrance. Its in-store range was not checked and may vary. Rossmann.de returned fruit purees, dried fruit, a tea and a toothpaste, but no soap. Mueller.de returned dried persimmon slices and a fragrance. Ranges change, and we did not check the Austrian shops, so ask in store.

Pharmacies and perfumeries

Shop Apotheke returned a tea, dried persimmon and other soaps, none with kaki in the name. Other online pharmacies could not be checked reliably. Douglas mainly showed fragrances; its only soap was a vanilla, pumpkin and caramel hand soap.

Buying online

Amazon.de lists persimmon soaps from various marketplace sellers. On 2 October 2026 a search returned a few listings, including bars, liquid soaps and shower gels, mostly from small sellers or little-known brands. Listings change, so we quote no prices. Check the ingredient list, the seller's contact details, where it ships from and how returns work. We compare formats in persimmon body wash or bar.

How to recognise a good persimmon soap

  • Persimmon extract in the ingredients, usually listed as "Diospyros Kaki".
  • Caring ingredients such as coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter and glycerin.
  • Honest promises: soap is a cosmetic, not a medicine.
  • Clear seller details and a fair price per bar.
